An intimate, exclusive Syrian Pop-Up dining event supported by The Nest in Hastings and The Refugee Buddy Project: Hastings, Wealden and Rother.

Our homemade Syrian food is served in a choice of either a vegan or meat menu. Please make sure to buy the correct ticket for your dietary options and notify us of any nuts, dairy and gluten intolerances.

This event is part of our ongoing one to one support to newly arriving people seeking refuge. People are supported into learning about catering and starting a food business to begin their new lives in Hastings and the surrounding areas. All the proceeds go to the chef preparing the feast for this event.

Menu:

• Starters: Fattoush salad (V), and Babaghanoush (V)

• Mains: Brown Lentils and Chickpeas (V), and Chicken Maqlouba “Upside Down”

• Dessert: Halaw Al Juben (sweet cheese dessert), and Date Balls (V)

• Drinks: Tamarind juice, arabic coffee and tea

Timetable:

Doors will open at 6pm and we will start serving the food by 6.30pm.
Service will finish around 8.30pm but you are welcome to stick around and enjoy a hot drink with your dessert until 9pm.

Capacity:

This event is extremely limited in ticketing and will welcome a maximum of 15 guests - please note we have 3 tables available to us (one large and two small) so you might share a table with other guests and make friends with strangers!
